Welcome Slashdotters. Please feel free to explore our site and view our small faq. We keep the technical content to a minimum to keep it easy to read for the general public. Vehicle specs can be viewed here and vehicle design history here. Our first priority as a team and a project is education of young engineers. The mileage that we attain is frosting on that cake.

(2006 UBC vehicle entry on the track in Marshall, Michigan)

We are proud to announce a first place finish this year with a new track record of 3145 miles per US gallon or 1337 km/litre. This is a new track record and a great way to mark the 4th consecutive victory in the Collegiate class of 2006 SAE Supermileage competition. Thank you to all our generous sponsors and supporters!

We look forward to competing in Japan this August. Let's see how performance translates onto a very different track!

Edit June 19: We have updated Photos and other sections of the website to reflect this year's competition results. We made a media photo pack from the 2006 competition. Check out our blog as well for more info.

Work is almost complete on our 2006 entry into the competition. See our blog for the most current info on the vehicle. We can't wait to see all the teams in June!

The UBC Supermileage Team is proud to announce sponsorship from VimX Technologies Inc, who specializes in ignition systems that improve fuel economy and engine performance. Open First Team Meeting of the Year. This meeting will be for people interested in checking out the team. Lots of show and tell and stories from the competition. For those of you who missed Imagine UBC or Student Teams Day this is your chance to learn more about the team.

The new website was uploaded to the server with all the old site material being archived. Thanks for everyone who gave suggestions for the new layout. Look for new content including lots of pictures and information. Just need some time to sort out formatting and exams.
