Travel to conferences and the likeFunding for expenses made to attend conferences is available from CICSR and the Faculty of Graduate studies. CICSR currently offers a matching amount up to $500 per student per year. The Faculty of Graduate Studies offers $500 once to each graduate student during their period of stay at UBC. To be able to claim expenses, designated travel agencies must be used. The UBC purchasing department publishes a pamphlet on the UBC travel policy, or you can check their web page. Graduate Student Travel Fund - Deadlines: Sept. 30, 1999 or March 1, 2000Due to the reduction in funds available through the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund, our budget for Graduate Student Travel has been reduced. In order to continue to offer some funding to all eligible graduate students, we have reduced the Travel Fund allowance from $500 to $400 per student per degree program. The accommodation allowance has been increased to $70/night from $60. The per diem rate has increased from $30 to $40. |
